Millennium Park Traffic Island

The design of native grasses, goldenrod, coneflowers and asters provides a colorful introduction to the naturalistic plantings which surround the playing fields. The design was commissioned and the plants installed by The Evening Garden Club of West Roxbury. (August 2004)

This bleak island with its fire-plug focal point constitutes the entrance to Millennium Park, the 90 acre recreation complex on the capped landfill in West Roxbury. June 2003.
